Do You Enjoy Singing?
Then why not come along and be part of our adult community choir.
You don’t have to be able to read music or belong to an established choir.
Just have the love of singing, whether it is in the bath, shower or just when the mood
takes you.

Hadleigh Voices Community Choir was formed in September 2011 to promote singing within the local community. Based in Hadleigh Old Fire Station, we meet fortnightly on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm.
Heather Geeson leads the choir who sing a wide range of music that everyone can enjoy.
Alongside the main choir we also run a Care Home Group, which has been kindly funded by the John Laing Charitable Fund.
Hadleigh Voices is an independent community organisation. The choir was developed in partnership with Essex County Council’s London 2012 Legacy and Arts Development teams and SOUNDEXCHANGE
Hadleigh Old Fire Station is a hub for community activity that contributes to the legacy in Hadleigh.

Heather Geeson has now retired as Musical Director for Hadleigh Voices. She is moving to Suffolk. Her last rehearsal was on October 1st when she was presented with a parting gift from the choir by our Chair, Lynne Middleton.
Heather has been Musical Director since 2022 and she quickly established a rapport with the choir and has taken us from strenght to strength. We will all be sorry to lose her.
We have been fortunate to have Lesley Fleming join us as our new Musical Director. Lesley is a retired music teacher and is also Musical Director of another choir. She joined us for her first rehearsal on October 15th
October 15th was also the last rehearsal for our accompanist Chair Howell. Here she is after being presented with a departing gift by our Chair, Lynne Middleton.

Claire also joined us in 2022 and she has been an accomplished accompaniust during these years. She has also worked well with Heather during this time.
Our new accompanist will be Verena Weaver, who has accompanied the choir on occasions before.

Our Summer Concert on Tuesday 26th August was a great success. We sang to a full house and raised £850 for the Herts and Essex Air Ambulance.
Here, Kevin Geeson, on behalf of the Air Ambulance, is receiving a cheque for £850 from Lynne and Linda Darling (our Events Organiser).
